Thorbjørn Bechmann's paintings exist in the space between sensation and understanding. His works do not explain; they invite. They do not illustrate; they evoke. In “This I Feel, But Do Not Know”, Bechmann continues his ongoing exploration of gesture, materiality, and the limits of language in visual expression. Marked by layered paintwork and an acute sensitivity to surface, Bechmann’s paintings embody a tension between control and surrender.
