Peter Zunders Solo Exhibition „RAGE“.
Peter Zunder's series "RAGE" brings urban influences into abstract art. Inspired by worn-out advertising pillars and painted-over graffiti, the works are about wear and tear, transience and a touch of street culture. For Zunder, the series is a place of artistic freedom in which not much remains of the original image at the end - a process that is reminiscent of life's changes.
New layers are built up layer by layer with acrylic spray. A recurring element is the white color that appears in each of the works. This fragment is the common thread in the midst of the artistic transformation. At the end, Zunder applies a layer of oxide black, which acts as a resting point and lends new depth to the underlying colors.
Zunder describes these works as an act of letting go, in which the original structures continue to fade and make way for new, unexpected forms. Each of the works leaves room for individual interpretation - every observer can discover something different and personal in them.
